The Skate Banana pioneered Lib Tech's revolutionary Banana Technology, a hybrid profile combining rocker between the bindings and mild camber at the tip and tail. This design brings the "dead zone" under your feet to life—it adds edge pressure right where you need it while keeping the tips catch-free for jibs, rails, and easy landings. Rides float effortlessly in powder and feel smooth on hardpack.
Magne-Traction Edges
Complementing the Banana profile, the Skate Banana features Magne-Traction serrated edges—a wavy, “steak-knife” edge with seven bumps along each side. This increases edge hold, particularly between the feet, delivering unmatched grip on icy terrain.
Core and Construction
Powered by Lib Tech’s Original Power or Power Plus construction, the board uses a 75% Aspen / 25% Paulownia wood core. This combo provides a lightweight yet durable flex, blending strength with responsive maneuverability.
Laminates and Base
A layup of tri-axial and bi-axial fiberglass gives the board dynamic flex characteristics—nimble yet poppy. The base features sintered TNT construction for both forgiveness on impact and excellent speed retention across varied snow.
Shape and Flex
The board maintains a true twin shape, meaning it’s perfectly symmetrical—ideal for riding regular or switch. Its medium-soft flex (roughly 4–6/10) delivers forgiving playfulness with a touch of stability.
